Undertrial dies in hospital

CHAMARAJANAGAR: An undertrial died in the Chamarajanagar Sub Jail on Monday. Nagaraju was lodged in the sub-jail after the Kollegal rural police arrested four persons along with him and brought to a court here in connection with the murder of Jayaram of Palya village in Kollegal taluk in August 2006. The jail authorities said that Nagaraju was admitted in the district hospital immediately after he complained of chest pain on Monday morning. But he died in the hospital later.

The kin of Nagaraju lodged a complaint with the Assistant Commissioner seeking an inquiry into the death.
