Police nab two alleged criminals
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Two alleged criminals have been arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi police at Badarpur here. The police claim to have seized from them two country-made firearms, a police uniform and a fake identity card of a U.P. Police sub-inspector.
A police team received a tip-off recently that Nand Kishore, who was wanted in a robbery case in Aligarh committed about three months ago, was hiding somewhere in Badarpur.
The police laid a trap for him and on spotting him with his accomplice, later identified as Nikhlesh Gautam, asked him to surrender. Nand Kishore whipped out a country-made firearm, while his accomplice claimed that he was a sub-inspector with the U.P. police. He also produced an identity card issued in the name of Narender.
However, both were put to interrogation after the identity card was found to be a fake.
