Notice to Programme Staff Association of All India Radio and Doordarshan

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Programme Staff Association of All India Radio and Doordarshan on an application by the president of the Programme Staff Welfare Association of AIR and Doordarshan seeking his impleadment in a petition by the former for change of its name.
Justice Ravindra Bhat asked the respondent to file a reply to the application by February 18, 2008. The applicant, Pramod Mehta, alleged that the respondent body was unregistered and its members had played a fraud on the staff of AIR and DD. He alleged that the office-bearers of the respondent body had not disclosed to the Court that criminal cases were pending against them in various courts for not registering their body.
