Five killed in accident

NIZAMABAD: Five persons were killed while four others suffered injuries in a road accident that took place on NH-7 at Srirampur village in Balkonda mandal on Tuesday night.

Only two were identified among the dead. Desiraju (18) and Mohammad Abin (55), cleaner and driver respectively of a lorry, who belong to Lalithpur district in Uttar Pradesh, died on spot. The accident took place when a lorry laden with cotton, coming from Bhainsa in Adilabad, collided with another lorry bound for Kanpur.

Cotton lorry drivers K. Murugeshan and Sivakumar, and cleaner K. Vimal were injured.

The bodies were shifted to Balkonda Government Hospital.
