Arjun Yadav to lead Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Arjun Yadav will lead Hyderabad in its next two Ranji Trophy matches against Baroda (Nov. 23-26) and Orissa (Dec. 1-4).

The team: Arjun Yadav (capt), Ravi Teja, Daniel Manohar, Anoop Pai, Amol Shinde, Pragyan Ojha, Habeeb Ahmed, Shoaib, Ashwin Yadav, Arjun, Lalith Mohan, Mohd. Shakeer, Danny Derek Prince, Vishal Sharma and Mohd. Khader.

Under-22 probables

HCA also named the list of under-22 probables from whom the team for the all-India C.K. Nayudu Trophy to be held in Vizag from Nov. 30 will be selected.

The list of probables: Rushi Raj, Benjamin Thomas, Ronald Rodrigues, Sami Ansari, Avtar Singh, Vishwanath, Paramveer Singh, Vijay Goud, Chandrakanth, Pradeep, Shoaib, Wasim Ali, Bharat, Azharuddin, Hariharan, Sandeep, Prithvi Reddy, Sunil Nadu, Rohit Kumar, Sridhar, Avinash Reddy, Aaron Paul, Anshul, Pardhu, Anwar Ahmed, Suhail Dauria and Ashutosh. The above players are to report for camp at Gymkhana grounds on Nov. 23 at 6 a.m.

Rahul, Shravan shine

Century by Rahul Singh (158, 28x4) and a good spell by Y. Shravan Kumar (seven for 33) helped Cal Public School record a 256-run win over HPS Ramanthapur in the semifinals of the Airtel Cup inter-school (u-13) cricket tournament at Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The scores: Airtel Cup inter-school tournament (u-13): Cal PS 313 for four (Rahul Singh 158 not out, Sashi 58) bt HPS Ramanthpur 57 (Y. Shravan Kumar seven for 33, Vishal Jude Phillips three for 10).

A-Division (one-day knockout): Victory 396 for seven (Srikanth 104, T. Chandrasekhar 114, Anupam five for 68) bt IAF 173 (Shashi 61, Vasuki 40, Madhav four for 30).

AU athletics meet

The Andhra University athletics championship for men, to be held at Ideal College, Kakinada, from Nov. 27 to 29, has been postponed and will be held from Dec. 17 to 19.
