Double for Antim
HYDERABAD: Antim Singh of Southern Railway bagged a double, winning the snooker title and the 9-ball pool event, in the 40th all-India Railway billiards and snooker championship at the RRC Stadium here on Wednesday.
H.K. Padhee, GM, SCR, gave away the prizes.
The results:
Snooker: Final round: Antim Singhi (SR) bt Wasim Ahmed (SR) 27-64, 66-22, 43-35, 66-52; K. Venkatesham (SCR) bt V. Kumar (SCR) 28-78, 60-42, 56-43, 72-12.
Final placings: Snooker: 1. Antim Singhi (SR), 2. Wasim Ahmed (SR), 3. K. Venkatesham (SCR), 4. V. Kumar (SCR).
Highest break: K. Venkatesham (SCR-78).
8-ball pool: 1. S.K. Jagtiani (ER), 2. Rafat Habib (SR).
