Mayur’s merry run continues

Mumbai: Mayur Vasant continued to make waves in the 45-plus category in the GVK AISTA senior National-ranking tennis tournament being held at the Practennis courts here.

The 46-year-old, a wild card entry, moved into the semifinals with a straight-set win over K. Mehar Parekh and teamed up with D.S. Ramarao to make the doubles finals by beating V.S. Narasimhan and M. Likhite (Mah) 6-0, 6-1.

Delhi’s Arvinder Chatwal, another wild card entrant in the 55-plus event, defeated R. Gangadharan 6-3, 6-3 to enter the semifinals.
