Archery
Archers’ feat
Jamshedpur: Tata Archery Academy cadets created history when FITA ratified the World record set by the Indian team comprising Adonda Raju, Rajib Basumatary and Ravinder Hembram at the third Cadet World Archery championship in Mexico in October last year in the boys’ team finals in the recurve section.
This was the first record in archery for the country as two similar feats by Jhanu Hansda was turned down on technical grounds earlier.
The Indian team, which won a bronze at Mexico, scored 441 points in the team finals against winner Turkey’s 438 points. — PTI
