BJP unit holds rally against Janata Dal (S)

BIDAR: Condemning the “betrayal” by the Janata Dal (Secular), the district committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a protest rally here on Thursday.

The rally began from the Bharatiya Janata Party’s office on Udgir road and culminated at Ambedkar Circle.

Effigy burnt

The BJP workers raised slogans against the president of the Janata Dal (S) and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and burnt his effigy.

The committee president Baburao Madkatti led the rally.

Raghunath Rao Malkapure, Basavaraj Pawar, Jagadishchandra Swami, Revannasiddappa Jalade, Mahesh Palam, Shankuntala Belal, and Anil Gundappa of the BJP participated in the rally. The party leaders condemned the decision of the Janata Dal (S) leadership to withdraw support to the BJP-led Government.
