Anti-JD (S) bandh total in Bhadravati

BHADRAVATI: The industrial town of Bhadravati observed a total bandh on Thursday to protest against the withdrawal of support by Janata Dal (Secular) to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

All shops and business establishments on the main roads as well as schools, colleges and banks remained closed. Local buses and autorickshaws too did not function.

Public meetings

BJP workers led by the president of the taluk unit C. Manjula addressed the at Madhawachar Circle and the Rangappa Circle criticising the president of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda and his son and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy.

They took out a procession in many parts of the town raising slogans against Mr. Gowda and Mr. Kumaraswamy.
