Case booked against headmistress
Special Correspondent
VILLUPURAM: The Chinna Salem police have booked a case against a private school headmistress Ruby Esther Mary on charges of severely beating two students.
According to the police, A. Bharath, studying in Plus One, and A. Rajan, studying in Standard X, suffered injuries and were admitted to hospital.
A case was registered following complaints from the parents of the boys.
The police said on Sunday, Bharath and Ranjan, while playing cricket, had picked a quarrel with students of a government school.
It was settled following the intervention of a teacher from the school. The teacher, later, complained to Ms. Marry about the rude behaviour of Bharath and Ranjan.
The headmistress caned the two for bringing ‘disrepute to her school,’ the police said.
