At 8.15 p.m., after prayers, the idols (“utsava murthis”) of Lord Krishna and Lord Mukhyaprana were brought in a palanquin and placed in a decorated boat. The boat went around the “mantapa” at the “Madhwa Sarovar” thrice. This is known as the “Teppotsava”. Then, the idols of Lord Krishna and Lord Mukhyaprana were kept in the “Garudaratha”, while the idols of Lord Ananteshwara and Lord Chandramouleshwara were placed in the “Mahapoojaratha” and taken around the Car Street. The Car Street looked beautiful with many oil lamps lit in specially constructed wooden rows. The “Laksha Deepotsava” is celebrated during “Uthana Dwadasi” during the Kartika Maasa.
