Staff Reporter
GUNTUR: Riding on the new wave of turning vegetarian among the elite society, the Pyramid Spiritual Society has embarked on a mega awareness campaign on the benefits of being vegetarian among people of Guntur by organizing an ‘All Religion Vegetarian Rally’ from Lodge Centre to Pathibandla Seetharamaiah High School in Guntur on Sunday.
Shouting the slogans of ‘Shakaharam – Amrutaharam’ members of the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement India would be led by its founder Subhash Patri.
Pyramid Spiritual Society, Guntur Dhyandhra Pradesh president V. Lakshman Rao told The Hindu that our sins would be reflected in the form of ailments.
The members of the society from Vijayawada and Guntur would participate in addition to the general public and would shout slogans like ‘Mamsaharam – Papaharam’, he added.
He said every religion advocated non-violence and protection of animals. Quoting Bernard Shaw, he said ‘our stomach is not a graveyard where we can stuff dead bodies of animals.’
Members of Pyramid Society believe that we could be closer to god only through non-violence and only through a healthy body we could experience happiness.
Dhayna sabha
After the conclusion of the rally a ‘dhayna sabha’ would be conducted where Mr. Patri would explain various aspects of meditation and vegetarianism.
