HYDERABAD: A class 11th student from ‘Nasr School’ Afra Salim has won the national finals of Horlicks Wizkids 2007 competition held in Bangalore from November 17 to 21. The Nasr school student along with three other winners is set to present and promote ‘The Indian Children’s Charter of Human Responsibility’ in Brazil. Afra Salim’s project ‘Operation Helpline: Advocating and Defending Child Rights’ was adjudged as the best project among 51 other projects in the finals of Horlicks Wiz Team 2007 competitions. She also won the prestigious ‘Most Talented Wizkid of the year’ award, a press release said here. Other winnersOut of 51 city-level finalists, four students including Afra Salim emerged victorious and were chosen to form the Horlicks Wiz Team 2007. Anees Backer (Cochin), Aishwarya Singhdeo (Bhopal) and Shreya Kapoor (Mumbai) were the other winners who would be the members of the Horlicks Wiz Team. The competition comprised several rounds ranging from introduction, talent and judges question rounds. A panel of judges including noted television actor Aman Varma, CEO of Yahoo India Sharad Sharma and former athlete Ashwini Nachappa selected the team of four on the basis of overall personality and competence. The Wiz Team would be promoting ‘The Indian Children’s Charter of Human Responsibility’ in Brazil and prepare a charter of human responsibility to take it to Brazil.
