Rs.772-crore plan for Pudukottai

PUDUKOTTAI: The Potential-Linked Credit Plan for 2008-09 has envisaged a credit flow of Rs. 772.08 crore for the district.
A lion’s share of Rs. 639.31 crore credit flow has been envisaged for agriculture sector, Rs. 46.63 crore for non-farm sector and Rs. 86.13 crore for other priority sector. The plan projection for the next financial year is 13.8 per cent over the current fiscal’s.
Collector D. Uthirakkumaran released the credit plan at the District Consultative Committee meeting held at the Collectorate here on Thursday. T.V. Nagarajan, Senior Regional Manager, Indian Overseas Bank Regional Office, Karaikudi received the first copy, an official press release here said.
