Tree-fall causes traffic jam
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: The fall of a huge tree near the Common Entrance Test Cell at 18th Cross, Malleswaram, around 8.30 p.m. on Thursday affected vehicular traffic in the area for nearly two hours. No one was hurt and no damage was reported. The traffic situation in the area worsened with Sampige Road, Margosa Road and Sankey Road witnessing long traffic jams. “We had to stop vehicles from entering Malleswaram. We diverted vehicles coming from the Indian Institute of Science side towards Sankey Tank and those from Bhashyam Circle towards Palace Guttahalli. We also had to convert Sankey Road into one-way and direct vehicles that were stuck on that road back to Bhashyam Circle,” said Ishwar Prasad, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic East).
