Gold chains snatched

VIRUDHUNAGAR: A primary school teacher, V. Subbulakshmi (36), was relieved of her 10-sovereign gold chains by a three-member gang near Seithur on Wednesday evening. The teacher, who used to commute to her school in a moped, was intercepted by a motorbike-borne gang. While two of them held the teacher’s arms, another hit on her head with a club and snatched the gold chains. The Seithur rural police are investigating.
