Young World painting competition tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Hindu Young World painting competition, which is being presented by the Lotte BooProo, will be held in the auditorium of the Government Women’s College at Vazhuthcaud here on November 24.

A preliminary screening had been held and those selected to participate in the competition have been sent call letters. The participants should come to the venue with the call letter and the school identity card at their own cost. They should bring with them painting materials. The drawing sheet will be provided by the organisers. There will be no spot admission.

The participants should report at the venue by 8.30 a.m. The competition will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. The competition will be held in two categories, juniors consisting of classes IV to VII and seniors consisting of classes VIII to X. The topic will be announced at the venue.

The judging will be done soon after the competition and the prize distribution ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. in the same venue and on the same day.

The judges’ decision will be final and the paintings which will become the sole property of The Hindu will not be returned.

There will be first, second, third and consolation prizes in each category. Participation certificates will be given to all the participants.
