Five of a family commit suicide

Muzaffarnagar: A local BJP worker allegedly committed suicide along with his four family members by consuming poison in Saharanpur district, police said on Thursday. Ramesh Rohila (50) administered poison to his wife Bala (45) and daughters Moni (22), Seema (20), and Annu (16) and later consumed it himself. All the five died on their way to the hospital, SSP Ajai Anand said. The incident occurred at Sangahela village in Saharanpur district on Wednesday. Police cited abject poverty or depression to be the reason behind this extreme step.
