Antalya (Turkey): Mary Ann Gomes of Kolkata shot into the sole lead in the under-18 girls’ section of the World youth chess championship here on Thursday.

Six more rounds remain in this championship.

With five points from five rounds, Mary leads by a full point from nine other girls.
