New website launched

BERHAMPUR: A new website, ‘aadveterans.in’ was launched for the Army Air Defence Veterans during the inauguration of the third reunion of Army Air Defence Corps at the Army Air Defence College (AADC), Gopalpur on Friday.

During the special sainik sammelan held at the inaugural session the invitees witnessed release of a First Day Cover, an Army Air Defence Coffee Table Book besides launching of the website.

This reunion of the corps is held every four years. The family members of martyrs, veteran officers, commissioned officers and jawans of the corps are attending this reunion. Traditional folk dances of Orissa and other presentations by troops were also part of the function.

This event is being attended by Lieutenant General KS Dogra, Director General of Army Air Defence and Senior Colonel Commandant, Lieutenant General (Retired) PK Pahwa, First Director General of the Corps of Army Air Defence, former minister of state for Defence, Brigadier (Retired) KP Singh Deo.

The veterans and the serving officers paid their homage to the martyrs of Army Air Defence by laying wreaths on the war memorial in AADC.

The newly launched website of the Army Air Defence Corps is aimed at keeping the veterans and present officers of the corps in touch. Through this interactive website one can search officers by name, city, rank or courses attended at the AADC.

It includes news, articles and blogs from its members. This website is seen as part of the technical advancement that the AADC is going through.
