“Humanism should be the bedrock of society”
Special Correspondent
NEYVELI: To defeat divisive forces and forge a strong bond, humanism should be made the bedrock of society, said P. Babu Rao, Director (Personnel), Neyveli Lignite Corporation. He was speaking at Integration Week celebrations here.
Mr. Rao said that society seemed to be divided on caste, creed and communal lines. Though basically all religions preached love for fellow beings, the strife and rifts were accentuated by fanaticism. Practicing tolerance and brotherhood would foster harmony and avert terrorism and war, he said. Chief General Manager (Mines) N. Narendra Mohan said that for India to become a developed nation, the people should stay united as they did during the Freedom struggle.
