TUMKUR: Over 140 Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) executives resumed duty in its various offices in Tumkur district on Friday following an accord reached with their company management over the formation of a national panel to study their charter of demands. The executives had applied for mass casual leave for the day in protest against what they alleged as delay in fulfilling their demands. The All India BSNL Executives Association (AIBEA) general secretary, Basavaiah, told presspersons here that a united forum of four associations of the company’s executives held several rounds of discussion with the board of management before reaching the accord. The panel would comprise a representative each from the four associations and as many representatives from the company management. The panel would study the charter of demands of the executives and give a report in three weeks. Mr. Basavaiah announced that the AIBEA would not go on strike till such time. He, however, said the united forum would meet in Hyderabad and finalise the next course of action to press for the fulfilment of its demands.
