BANGALORE: Rainbow Hockey Club beat Accountant General’s Office Recreation Club 5-3 in the State ‘B’ division league hockey tournament here on Friday. Faisal (29th, 38th & 56th) logged a hat-trick for the winner supported by goals from Aiyappa (7th) and Karan (26th). Purusha (13th), Milan (34th) and Claudius (42nd) scored for AGORC. In the first match, Coorg Hockey Association beat Om Sai (Dharwad) 5-0 with Deepak (13th & 59th) scoring a double and Vipin (12th), Bipin Sebastian (29th) and Mukesh (53rd) joining the scorers’ list. South Western Railway (Hubli) defeated Metro 8-0 with Manjunath Jadhav (9th,10th & 32nd), Hassan Ali (12th & 52nd), Ravi Mudgar (2nd), Aslam Ali (13th) and Nagesh (28th) scoring. SJASC posts winSt. Joseph’s Arts & Science College (SJASC) beat Al Ameen 3-2 in the Dr. Issac Memorial inter-collegiate hockey tournament here on Friday. Nikhil Thammaiah struck all the goals for the winner, while Biju and H.T. Ramesh reduced the margin. Other results: SJCC 8 (Mario 3, Anish 2, Purushotham 2, Chandra Varma) bt Christ College 0; St. Joseph PUC 3 bt IISc 1.
