Scorching the Rampart
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: To add a glamour quotient to Le Gala, the annual culture fest of the National Law School of India University, was the high-profile fashion show, Rampart.
With the likes of Deepika Padukone scorching the Rampart in the past, the event is understandably popular in college circles, and it was so this year too with models from the law school joining the professionals on their catwalk. Having been variously organised on the NLSIU campus and The Club on Mysore Road, this year it was hosted at the elite club, Nyx, and sponsored by Flying Machine jeans. The teams, NIFT and BMS, whose display of clothes “combined creativity, colour, ingenuity and good old fashion sense,” according to the organisers, battled it out for the grand prize of Rs. 25,000. The competition was close, but the prizes went to NIFT and to Avantika for the best female model and to Benthungo Kithan for the best male model.
LeGala’s media partner was The Hindu MetroPlus.
