Examinations postponed: The second semester M.Sc. computer science (Institute of Distance Education) examinations scheduled to begin on November 30 have been postponed and will now begin on December 13.

College change: Students of the BA, B.Sc., B.Com. restructured courses (2007-08) in colleges under the university can now apply for college change during the second semester. College change will be allowed only between those colleges that are in the same category and have similar fee structures. Moreover, both those colleges should have the same scheme, syllabus and subjects. Along with the application for college change, students should submit copies of the eligibility certificate and the mark-list and the caste certificate, if applicable. A processing fee of Rs.500 will have to be paid. The application should be submitted along with the recommendation of the principal of the college where the candidate is studying. The last date for submitting applications is December 7.

Memorial prizes: The written test for the memorial prizes given by the Department of Tamil will be held at Government College for Women on December 7. Hall tickets have been sent to those who have registered for the examinations. Further information can be had from the department.

LLB examinations: The fourth semester (three-year course), eighth semester (five-year course) LLB examinations will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on November 27, 29, December 3, 5, 7 and 10.

Viva voce: The viva voce of the final MA history examinations (IDE) will be held at the Department of History from 10 a.m. on December 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11. Details can be had from the IDE.

Viva: The viva of the final MA Islamic History (IDE) examinations will be held at the Department of Islamic History from 11 a.m. on November 29.

BASLP: The results of the second year BASLP examinations held in June 2007 have been published. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till December 15.

Certificate course: The results of the postgraduate certificate course in medical and psychiatric social work offered by the Centre for Adult Continuing Education and Extension have been published. The first rank goes to Lakshmi Chandran. The results of the certificate course in library and information science examinations have been published.
