Two killed in accident
Two persons were killed in a road accident at Neredmet on Thursday. Twenty-eight-year-old R. Ganesh and his friend Durga Rao were going on a scooter when a motorcyclist, V. Rajaram (25) of Vinayaknagar, collided with them resulting in injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital where Ganesh and Rajaram died, while Rao escaped with injuries.
Ganesh and Rao were working as security guards , while Rajaram was a salesman, according to the police.
Body found
A partially charred body of a woman aged between 25 and 30 was found in a park at Yousufguda on Friday morning. Residents noticed the body around 6 a.m. and alerted the police. The police registered a murder case under Section 302 of the IPC and are investigating.
Racket busted
The city police on Friday busted a fake educational certificate racket with the arrest of two persons, Mohd. Saleemuddin, 28, of Yakutpura and Aijaz Ahmed, 23, of Santoshnagar.
Computer, fake rubber stamps among other itemswere seized from them, according to a press release.
