Online system of filing grievance petitions inspected

CHECKING OUT: Special Commissioner Sakthikanda Das (centre) inspecting the online system for grievance petitions in Tiruchi on Friday.
TIRUCHI: Special Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration Sakthikanda Das on Friday reviewed the implementation of government welfare schemes and development works taken up in the district.
Mr.Das inspected the working of the recently-introduced online system for filing of grievance petitions and directed the officials to ensure prompt response to the petitioners.
He later chaired a meeting with district officials to review the implementation of government schemes including the distribution of free colour television sets, land distribution, patta transfers, old age pensions and issuance of ration cards.
Pension payment before 5th of every month
He instructed the officials to ensure that money orders for old age pensioners were sent before the fifth of every month. Collector Ashish Vachhani, District Revenue Officer A.Nambirajan and officials attended the meeting.
Later Mr.Das visited Elakudi village near the City and inspected a newly developed tank and the construction of a crematorium.
