Decision on Gul soon

NEW DELHI: Injured Pakistan bowler Umar Gul’s scan report has been sent to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Medical Commission for evaluation before a final decision is taken on his possible inclusion in the second Test, starting in Kolkata from November 30.

Gul’s back injury kept him out of the on-going first Test here. “We have sent the report to the specialist Gul consults in Pakistan,” said team manager Talat Ali Malik who admitted that Gul was in pain and complained of a stiff back.

He also said that Misbah-ul-Haq could take the field on Saturday. He stayed in the dressing room during India’s innings due to sore throat and running temperature on Friday. — Special Correspondent.
