4 software engineers drowned

Staff Reporter

NELLORE: Hyderabad-based four software engineers were drowned in Bay of Bengal, when they went for a swim at Mypadu beach near Nellore on Saturday. Three bodies have been recovered so far.

According to the police, six persons who came from Hyderabad to attend a marriage in Nellore, first visited Velangani beach at Kodur. Later, they headed for Mypadu beach where four persons -- Arjun, Pavan, Sudheer and Sandeep, all from Amberpet -- were drowned in the full moon’s high tidal waves. The search is on for the body of Sandeep.

Arjun, who has completed MBA, was planning to go to Australia next month in search of a software job while Pavan, Sudheer and Sandeep were working in reputed software companies, said their friends. The bodies of Arjun, Pavan and Sudheer were shifted to the Government General Hospital here for post-mortem.
