Aid sought for Dalit girl

Sangareddy: The Medak committee of Kula Vivaksha Vyatireka Porata Sangham on Saturday urged Collector B. Venkatesam to extend assistance to a tenth standard girl who was allegedly raped by a school headmaster in Narayankhed.
The KVPS urged the Collector to admit the victim in the government Gurukulam so that she could further pursue her studies without any social stigma. They also demanded medical expenses for the treatment of the girl and financial assistance to the family. KVPS also wanted some kind of vigilance in the government schools to ensure that such incidents do not recur. The Collector who responded positively to the demands assured them that the district administration would provide all possible help for the victim.
