Career show for school students

CHENNAI: A ‘career show’ on opportunities available in the various civil services was organised by Everwin Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kolathur, on Saturday. The fair, which highlighted the pride attached to joining the Indian Administrative Service and other civil services, attracted students from as many as 60 city schools.
The exhibition had complete details of the application process and different stages in taking the examination, and they were presented in both English and Tamil. In addition to this, the full transcript of the interview of the IAS first rank holder of 2007 Muthyala Raju, and a special message from Kiran Bedi were displayed at the fair.
Chennai Collector R. Jaya inaugurated the exhibition. Additional Director-General of Police Letika Saran also participated in the event.
A booklet containing career options for higher secondary school students were distributed to the participants. The fair is open on Sunday too.
