Accent on women’s education for development
Staff Reporter
AMBUR: Education for women is a must for the overall development of a community. Nothing should keep them away from education as they are the first teachers in every family, Vellore Collector Dharmendra Pratap Yadav, said here on Sunday.
Participating at a function to commemorate the ‘National Minorities Welfare Day’ organised by the District Backward and Minorities Welfare Department at Mazharul Uloom College here, he said that education and unity played a dominant role in the overall development of a community. If the women members in a family are educated the entire family would prosper, which in turn would contribute to the development of a community, Mr. Yadav said.
People belonging to the minority communities should study hard while simultaneously utilising all benefits extended by the government. The most important factors that contribute towards the overall development of a community are education and entrepreneurship, Mr. Yadav said.
Ashish Kumar, Sub-Collector, Tirupattur Sub-Division, said that every member of the minority community should make every effort to grow all by himself. Vaniyambadi MLA Abdul Basith and Ambur Municipality chairman Nizar Ahmed also spoke.
