‘Ayurveda an integral part of tourism’

Kozhikode: Ayurveda has become an integral part of the tourism industry in the State, Union Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahmad has said.

Mr. Ahmad was inaugurating the public function organised as part of the birth centenary celebrations of P.V. Rama Varier, founder of The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) here on Sunday. He said that the Centre was giving due consideration to Ayurveda. Indian embassies were making visual presentations on Ayurvedic treatment to propagate the Indian system of treatment in other countries, he added.

He presented the Arya Vaidyan P.V.Rama Varier Memorial Excellence Award to Vaidyan Madhavan Nambiar. A seminar was held before the public function.
