Governor urges youngsters to set high aims

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Governor S.K. Singh on Sunday called upon the youth to prepare themselves for a tough competition in the present era of globalisation, while underlining the need for selection of a suitable career to serve the country and society.

Addressing a prize distribution function for meritorious students at Raj Bhavan here, Mr. Singh said the youngsters should be ambitious and set high aims in their lives. The function was organised by the Mamraj Agrawal Foundation.

Asset to the nation

Mr. Singh said the hard-working students willing to accept challenges were an asset for the nation.

“Extra-curricular activities help the students develop their personality and gain strength to meet challenges in their lives,” he added.

Recognition

Assembly Speaker Sumitra Singh said the talents should be given recognition for encouragement.

Foundation’s president Mamraj Agrawal said the function was being organised in the State for the sixth time.
