Crushed to death by Blueline bus

NEW DELHI: An unidentified man was run over by a Blueline bus on Barakhamba Road here on Sunday. The bus driver fled from the spot after abandoning the vehicle.

The accident took place around 2 p.m. when the bus plying on route 300 ran over the man near the Ranjit Singh flyover. The victim was rushed to Lohia Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. “The victim appears to be a vagabond,” said a police officer, adding that a case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving has been registered at the Tilak Marg police station.
