City to host global meet on infertility
HYDERABAD: About 1,000 experts from India and abroad in reproductive medicine, infertility and related fields will converge here to discuss new methods and techniques for infertility treatment at a three-day conference to be held in the city from February 20.
For the first time in the country, robotic surgery in the treatment of gynaecological problems would be conducted during the meet, according to Roya Rozati, organising secretary for the meet and director, Maternal Health & Research Trust.
The conference is being organised as part of the 18th annual meeting of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF). While the main theme is ‘Recent trends in reproductive health research’, the national and international speakers will deliver talks on a variety of topics, including ‘male & female reproductive endocrinology’ and basic research, genomics and proteomics of reproduction, infertility reproductive disorders, stem cell research and assisted reproductive techniques and psychological aspects of reproductive health.
