Awards for best innovations with a social cause

Chennai: The Lemelson Recognition and Mentoring Programme (L-RAMP) awards for the best innovations with a social cause would be presented by former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam here on Wednesday.

L-RAMP is a joint initiative of IIT-Madras and Rural Innovations Network with support from The Lemelson Foundation USA. It provides mentoring and incubation support for innovations that show promise for positive social benefits. Winners would take home Rs.25,000, a trophy and a certificate. The L-RAMP lifetime achievement award winner would get Rs.50,000.
