KMVS stir

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Matsyamekhala Vidyarthi Samithi (KMVS) is on the warpath against the alleged failure of the Government to protect the educational rights of students from the fishing community.

“We are denied many of our eligible benefits such as lumpsum grant, hostel fees and scholarship for students in tsunami-affected areas,” Samithi president Reagan Alex and secretary Harrison Fernandez told a press conference here on Monday.

The Samithi will take out a march to the Secretariat on November 28.
