17.72 lakh tons paddy procured

Chandigarh: The six government procuring agencies have collected 17.72 lakh metric tons of paddy so far out of a total arrival of 38.25 lakh metric tons of the grain in the mandis of Haryana.

An official spokesman said that out of the total arrival, 25.79 lakh metric tons were leviable. He said HAFED had procured 7.16 lakh MTs of paddy, Food and Supplies Department 5.61 lakh MTs, Agro Industries Corporation 2.22 lakh MTs, Confed 2.01 lakh MTs, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 59,461 MTs of paddy and Food Corporation of India 10,220 MTs. — PTI
