‘Madilu’ scheme launched in Karwar

SIRSI: Zilla panchayat president Gayatri Gowda launched the “Madilu” health scheme for pregnant women at the Guru Bhavan in Karwar on Friday. The scheme aims at motivating poor pregnant women to approach government hospitals for safe delivery. The scheme will also educate such women on health and hygiene, according to P.M. Mohan, District Health and Family Welfare Officer. Gangadhar Bhat, MLA, presided over the function. The zilla panchayat president distributed health kits to 25 women.
