Collector warns erring industries

Sangareddy: Medak Collector B. Venkatesam warned those industries that have not complied with the self assessment condition set by him during a meeting on industrial security, here recently, that he would not hesitate to cancel their permission.
The Collector visited several industries in Bonthapalli cluster under Jinnaram mandal on Monday.
According to a press release, the Collector observed that only two industries have faxed him the self assessment details within the deadline. He said that he is fully empowered to initiate action on the erring industries under Sections 133 and 144.
After expressing satisfaction over the maintenance of Granules India Limited, the Collector warned the management of RMS Research Laboratory Limited to improve safety aspects.
Later, he visited Rai Chervu in Bonthapalli Industrial Estate and ordered the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board officials to test water as apparently the water body has already been polluted by industrial affluents.
He visited the waste management project near Dundigal.
