JAIPUR: Rajasthan Governor S.K. Singh on Monday called for intensive efforts to improve the tribal’s standard of life by protecting their rights, conserving their natural environment and providing them with proper health care and education facilities. Mr. Singh, who was on a visit to Sirohi district, said at a function in Moonghala village that he would connect directly with the tribal communities to resolve their difficulties. He asked the citizens’ elected representatives to play an effective role in their welfare. He instructed the administrative, police and forest officials to ensure protection of tribal’s rights. He said he would soon visit the tribal-dominated Dungarpur, Banswara and Udaipur districts for a “direct dialogue” with the tribal population.
