Consortium to provide loans

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium will provide interest-free loans towards capital investment in agri-based industries. An official release said farmers, producers’ cooperatives, farming groups, self-help groups, exporters of farm products and degree holders in agriculture were eligible for loan for projects costing Rs. 50 lakh or more. The maximum assistance would be Rs. 75 lakh or ten per cent of the project cost, whichever is smaller.
