AIADMK wins bypoll in Rajapalayam

RAJAPALAYAM: The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam grabbed the post of Vice-Chairman of Rajapalayam Municipality from the Congress at a bypoll held here on Monday. This is the first time that the AIADMK has won the post of Chairman or Vice-Chairman of the municipality.

AIADMK’s S.A. Manikandan was declared elected unopposed by the Election Officer and Municipal Commissioner D. Mony. — Staff Reporter
