Kochi: The CBI has informed the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court that there was no need for further investigation into the death of the victim in the Kiliroor sex scandal case. In a statement filed in response to a petition filed by the father of the girl seeking further investigation, the CBI reiterated that the girl died due to infection. The CBI said that the content of copper in the blood of the victim was within tolerable limits. The case was that the girl hailing from Kiliroor near Kottayam was lured by the accused offering her roles in TV serials. She was taken to various palaces and gang-raped by the accused. The girl later died at the Medical College Hospital a few days after she delivered of a baby girl.
