KOCHI: Mohammed Shareef, 37, a resident of Thrissur, was deported to Cochin International Airport Limited from Dubai after the airport authorities there reportedly detected that a life-long ban was in force against his entry. He left for Dubai on a visiting visa on Saturday. He had worked in a supermarket in Dubai for nine years from 1997. He had cancelled his visa in 2006 before returning home. The reason for imposing the ban is not known, emigration sources said. Emigration officials also offloaded eight passengers bound for various destinations. One carried an expired passport; while two women, who were to work as housemaids, were without job agreement.
