Sibal leads team for West Asia summit

Washington: Union Minister for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal, who is leading the Indian delegation at this week’s international West Asia peace conference, arrived in the U.S. capital on Monday. He will attend a dinner addressed by President George W. Bush.

The other members of the delegation are the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for West Asia Chinmoy Gharekhan and the Joint Secretary in the External Affairs Ministry Manimekalai.

The delegation will participate in the main plenary to be held at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, on Tuesday. — PTI
