Pathan confident

HYDERABAD: India’s fast bowler Irfan Pathan feels that he is bowling as well as he did three years ago and really enjoying his long spells in domestic cricket.

“I don’t think that I am only a one-day bowler. I can also perform well in Test cricket. Anyhow, it is for the selectors to decide. Right now my job is to just keep performing to my potential,” he said after the Baroda-Hyderabad Ranji Trophy match here on Monday.

“Yes, it is true making a comeback is much more difficult than making your debut,” Pathan said.

“I was particularly pleased with the way I bowled on this flat track (Rajiv Gandhi Stadium) here and got a six-wicket haul in the match,” Irfan Pathan, who played for Baroda here, said.

“I will just keep quiet without making any comments on what went wrong. I have decided to be patient and just keep playing well to get a recall into the Indian Test side as well,” Pathan said. — Principal Correspondent
