Rural job scheme

KARUR: The Youth Congress would strive hard to ensure that the benefits of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) reach the target population, State Youth Congress vice-president S. Jothimani said here on Monday. The Youth Congress believed that the Scheme would be a boon to the thousands of families below the poverty line besides ensuring honourable work for them. If the beneficiaries find any difficulty in registering their names for the work or for any other part of the scheme, they could approach the Youth Congress workers.
